sometimes I just need a coffee/ beer break

When you are experiencing a job burnout or sick of those selfish people at work, sometimes you just need a coffee/ beer break to cool down yourself.

I did not see any recession at those overcrowded coffee shops to be honest. Compare to Starbucks, agnes b. Cafe does not have many choices on the menu, but the dining atmosphere is better. Just my opinion!

After a coffee break, Ffion and I went to BAGSTAgE and found this shop was offering a huge discount on several items, so I got 50% off on my BERACAMY PARIS Gavotte mini! Yayyyyy

Taiwan Beer got new flavors on sale! Pineapple and mango. Cosiya said pineapple flavored one was more tasty, so I decided to give it a try.

Cosiya was right, it tasted really good and more natural. I heard people said the mango flavored one tasted pretty "artificial", maybe I will try it someday when I have a chance.

random pink stuffs I like

Recently I have been thinking about having my hair highlighted in "pink" just like Audrey Kitching and Charlotte Free. Still struggling...

Yes it's Pepto Bismol, David got me a box on our way back to Orlando from Panama City last year. I ate too much in the morning(sausage, grits, biscuits, orange juice...) and that kinda upset my stomach, so we stopped over at a CVS in Tallahassee and got me a box of Pepto Bismo and Alka-Seltzer.

In the end, I still threw up everything at a department store, in the restroom of course.

And yes they are cotton swabs, I got them in Japan about two years ago. Believe it or not! They are rare.

To use or not to use, that is the question. I will hate to see my ear wax on those pretty pinky cotton swabs.

best friend's wedding

Found these two Barbie dolls mom got me many years ago, so I took these pictures. Think I can create a wedding invitation card if I get a Ken.

your sweet babydoll

Thursday I had my afternoon off to get the gifts for David and Aunt Patty, so that the package could be delivered earlier and arrived US on time. I forgot to take a picture of the gifts, hope he will once he get it.

Anyway, I tried not to spend much money on myself but since my favorite clothing shop was offering a really good deal, so I decided to have a look.

I had to get this Free People babydoll slip! But unfortunately I had to get a medium...

Well the sales girl said I was unable to fit in a small just because I had big boobs. How sweet!

It would be perfect if I could get Wildfox X Jeffrey Campbell ballet platform. (picture by solestruck.com)

Or Valetino bow flip flops. (picture by valentino.com

Each about $140-$180. Gotta put them to my wishlist, hehe.

Tiffany box inspired...

Every girl loves Tiffany's jewelry, including me. I will never forget the moment David handed me that little robin-egg-blue box.

Here is my Tiffany box inspired ballerina.

Before I made a drawing of the ballerina, a crazy idea had popped up in my head.

Not sure if anyone had designed clutches like this and retailed them, I would buy one if it was not too pricey. My "diamond clutch" is designed to be made from transparent PVC, like jelly.

Okay, you might not be able to put everything in this clutch, but I am sure you would not bring too many stuffs to a party.

chip addict

Mom got a pack of Frito Lay "Classic Mix 22 Count" and a huge bag of Ruffles Original at Costco last weekend, so it began...

"WOMAN V.S CHIPS"

Just another delight of life! I can never get tired of chips. so I made these drawings.

Love this "badly-drawn" style! I will find out the right terms to describe this drawing style. Well I added signatures to my drawings this time, just like a real artist. Hehe

Another picture from David not long time ago, he took it after mowing at the backyard. I love my sexy cook! (Was that Aunt Patty's hat??)

A little glitter in my life...

Birds are always attracted to something glitter, so am I.

Inspired by Twinkie Chan and Amy Doan(crochet artist and make-up artist in California), I did a little nail art on my tiny tiny claws.

I applied a little glitter nail lacquer on the tips, but it was still unable to cover the free edge of my finger nails.

I decided to leave them as they were, and I found they looked pretty good from the distance. Well it was onerous and took me forever to take it off , that's why I didn't do it often.

Here are what I used: OPI Treasure(DS024) and Nicole by OPI Rainbow in the S-Kylie.

I think I am obsessed with this crazy type of eye makeup.

I used this liquid glitter eyeliner to draw an extra line over my eyeliner. Sometimes I used eye pencil, and it still worked pretty good.

Okay I edited my picture a little, but you can still tell my eyes look a lot bigger right?

Shopping is always the best remedy for job burnout!

The 20th of this month will be my 5th anniversary working for this make-clients-happy company, unfortunately, I am experiencing a job burnout symptom from this stressful and monotonous job. Since I was not able to get the hell out of this country in the meantime, the only thing I could do to temporarily ease the sickness was to go shopping.

I had a really good time shopping with my colleague Cosiya on Thursday and earlier today, got great deal for a pair of Jeffrey Campbell platform, a t-shirt by Undercover for Uniqlo, another t-shirt by Killah. I feel like to do the human alphabet right now! "What is my favorite word? S-A-L-E, sale!"

Woman t-shirt by Undercover for Uniqlo, about $13. (original price about $20)

Platform by my favorite shoe brand Jeffrey Campbell, about $60. (original price about $190)

Cute woman t-shirt by Killah, about $33. (original price about $66)

Tattoo stickers by TATTLY, about $7 a pack.

Marie Antoinette inspired...

Marie Antoinette was undoubted a fashion icon, and she still is. There have been thousands of items inspired by legendary fashion goddess for sure, and I believe how this delicate and expensive dessert called "macaroon" revived these years was because of the movie "Marie Antoinette".

Never a fan of macaroon, but Marie Antoinette reminds me of roses, antique lace, silk fabric and the color pink, so I thought about designing a pair of daily/casual shoes with these elements.

la vie en rose

I had a really bad sunstroke this morning on my way to the vegetarian buffet for lunch. Mom was scared and soon got me a can of coconut water at 7-11; didn't know coconut water was highly effective in sunstroke condition.

  • Vomiting, check
  • Headache, check
  • Sudden dizziness, check
  • Weakness, check
  • Fast pulse, check
  • Fast breathing, check
  • Loss of consciousness, check

It was fairly new to me honestly, so I sent a message to David telling him I got sunstroke when I was able to move my fingers and talk; he asked me if I was alright and I told him I was getting better, then he asked me if I was trying to get a tan... Well, this is my boy.

After lunch I got me a storage box for my manicure tools and nail lacquer. Ok-ok I know it's already full.

This afternoon I wanted to make another drawing after shower when I got home. I had no idea what to draw, and suddenly, a scene of the movie "Bean" came up in my head with the background song "La Vie en Rose". So I made this drawing.

I chose to draw a rose bud instead of a bloomy rose, 'cos I did not like the fact that a bloomy rose will wither soon.

That reminded me of one of my favorite brands "Betsey Johnson".

I love their rose-print collections.

David got me Betsey Johnson's new fragrance for my birthday last year. (yes, my boy got me a lot of cute stuffs for my birthday) Isn't it pretty?

New picture from David. Tonka likes to sleep on the floor of the bathroom as always. He needs a fur-cut doesn't he?

More sweets inspired...

I stopped posting my drawings on my Facebook page, maybe I will do it from time to time, but not as often as I used to do.

A few days ago I had made a drawing of a bubble gum machine, after that, I felt like to make a "sequel". Remember there was a scene of bubble gum rain in the movie "Click"?

David told me Aunt Patty(David's mom) asked me how I had been, that reminded me I had never drawn anything for her. She was the sweetest old lady I had ever met, so I decided to make a drawing of fondant ballerina on a cupcake for her. The reason that the ballerina was in purple was because she liked the color purple...as I remembered. Hope she liked it.

Speak of "ballerina", David got me the cutest Betsey Johnson necklace for my birthday last year.

"You Have My Heart". My colleague Joanna said the person who got it for me must have known me pretty well. So true isn't it? He has my heart and knows what I like.

Another funny picture from David. I have no idea how Baxter got on Aunt Patty's bag, he is 12 years old! (maybe 13?)

In a dream of candies

I need to get me an iPad by the end of this year, everytime I made a drawing with my iPhone I was afraid I would get an electric shock.

I have a mini bubble gum machine on my office desk, it reminds me of my childhood. Well, it is no longer popular, kids got their bubble gums at 7-11 for hygiene's sake. Then some Japanese created a toy vending machine looked like candy machine called "ガチャガチャ"(read as gacha gacha), because it make noise like "gacha gacha" while you getting your toy.

Got me a mini pack of HARIBO bear gummies, then I felt like taking a picture like this, "love at first sight".

"Enjoy your strawberry and chocolate sundae". I was crazy about food toys and Meiji Peko-chan when I was in college.

Girly, kiddy and geeky

Another boring week! I hate and love low season. I had nothing to do at work, but my brain was always busy with something at the same time.

Here comes my new teaching material.

I tried to draw a cup of coffee with a milk foam heart. Well I never made it in real life when I worked in a coffee shop eight years ago. It is a lot easier to make a drawing.

Little surprises at Uniqlo! I found two cute kid's t-shirts! These are exclusive collections collaborating with local businesses; the donuts one is "Mister Donut(local people call it "Misdo")" and the strawberry one is "Sakuma". The kid's clothing was determined by "height" so I picked "150cm", which was exactly how tall I was.

And the next day I made this drawing. I made a mistake on the spelling, it should be ドーナツ...ugh The prayer-beads-like is called "ポン・デ", I have no idea what it is but it tastes like mochi and you can only find it at Misdo. David calls it "mochi ring".

I should of taken a full-body shot! The day I wore my Misdo shirt I had my Juicy Couture kid's canvas shoes I got in Orlando.

The other day I tried this crazy type of make-up inspired by Twinkie Chan. It looks like fish!
