indie girl's diary - little surprise in the spoon

Yes, two suckers for ice cream have resumed their "ice cream night" from last Saturday.
This is what my colleague/friend Cosiya and I do together in the end of every month. (Or every end of a month? Whatever!)

This is what I had: Lemon Sorbet and their anniversary flavor, which I can't remember the name. Both were pretty tasty, and suprisingly, not too sweet! The anniversary one tasted a little bit minty like candy cane.

It was nice to see the little surprises hiding in the ice cream - strawberry chocolate stars.

I tried to make a drawing of the ice cream I had on Saturday, but I was too tired in the afternoon and the drawing turned out to be really, really bad. So on the next day, I made another one in the morning after breakfast.

When you had enough bulls*its and bad lucks in your life, the good lucks come to you.

I was lucky enough to get a free drink in grande size at any Starbucks branches(in Taiwan) once I filled out an online questionnaire. To celebrite it, I made another drawing on Sunday.

It was my first time drawing coffee bubbles, I know they don't look so good because failed to mix the colors right. Need more exercise! Need more exercise!

My mom's artwork, totally different from my style.

I've been pursuading my mom to do more artworks, that way we can start an art blog. But she has been focusing on gardening recently, well, I hope this "new hobby" will last longer.

indie girl's diary - Hello Kitty Doughnuts

Wow! It has been A MONTH ever since the last time I updated my blog.

Still look forward to my trip to Singapore in THREE MONTHS, still cursing my ex boyfriend(I know, I know it is not healthy. But somehow it's becoming entertaining.), still being a shopaholic, still drawing like a real artist.

I am so enjoying being single, believe it or not.

Here you go, the Hello Kitty doughnuts from Mister Donut.

Coming along with this cute Hello Kitty box, honestly, the doughnuts have nothing special except for the cute Hello Kitty signature bow, and, they taste ARTIFICIAL especially the mango flavored one(up left) and the apple flavored one(down left).

It was still fun to try cute snacks and take pictures.

And made a drawing of course.

Yes I finally got me a dip pen holder, a set of nibs at a LUXURIOUS stationary store, and,  a solid watercolor set and a black ink at an art store.

As you can see, I got splashes of ink on the paper 'cause I was not used a dip pen nib. (Why is it so difficult to draw a whipped cream??)

Oh, I've started a graphic journal. Usually it was written during my lunch break with markers and a micronpen.

Enough of my sh*t for today! Ciao

indie girl's diary - Labor's Day

Got up at 08:30 and fixed to get ready to work, today I am not a labor because I have to be on duty.

No sure if it was because of H7N9, I really don't have much to do at work. Maybe it was just because the other offices were closed. (shrug)

After the dinner with my good friend Ffion last night, I stopped by a stationary store and got me two ink brushes, which had been popular these years. A little bit like FABER-CASTELL artist pens, but the Japanese ones I got were pretty affordable.

Well, I know I could have drawn something else, but THIS had been wandering in my head for a looooong time. Since I could not get it immediately, I could just draw me one!

I am loving my new toys and can't wait to get more. It worked really good on faded effect too!

This what I drew about 40 mins ago. So glad I finally decided where to go in the next half of this year! I had been struggling to choose a travel destination in the past 3 three weeks.

Money-wise, I am not able to afford a trip to Europe because I had spent too much money on my trips to US late 2012 and HK early 2013. But a five-day trip to Singapore or Japan is affordable to me, and it will be awesome to hang out with my good friend Pearl who had been helping me getting through the depression these days.

More drawings to be upload soon...I hope.

Ciao!

indie girl's diary - to spoil myself...again

Sunday morning is always the time to have my clothes ironed and organized.

As usual, I did the same thing soon after I woke up this morning, after that I decided to go out to have lunch myself. Guess I totally forgot I was still on a diet plan, I had Bibimbop(Korean rice with barbecue pork/beef/chicken), which was soooo good!

After lunch, I went upstairs of this department store to get me some hair bands at Accessorize, and I did not understand how those sh*ts could be so expensive here in my country. If you ever traveled to Europe, you definitely don't want to pay $5-$10 for 4 pieces hair hands at this shop. So I left and went to Marc by Marc Jacobs where all the items were on sale.

I was tempted to get me a pair of their neon-pink rubber shoes, but I held and got me a piece of hair band only. I told myself I had to stop looking at things because I had to save up for a trip to Singapore or Japan or even Germany, so, I went downstairs and got me a drink at Agnes b. Cafe.

I had been sitting and enjoying my rose tea latte til the rain stopped. I decided to do something productive and went to Eslite to get a book.

I thought I was lucky enough to get a seat in a Sunday morning, however, when I was about to have sip of my coffee and ready to read a book, two old men were talking REALLY LOUD behind my seat and it lasted for an hour.

When Starbucks is no longer a hipster kind of thing, you can't help but wonder where do those people go and actually read.

indie girl's diary - a dream that is leading me to ??

This morning I woke up from a dream that I was traveling in Germany. As a typical superstitious Asian woman, I couldn't help but wonder, was this dream going to lead me to somewhere or something?

Back in the year of 2011, I had a chance to attend the biggest travel fair in Berlin, Germany. I did not have much time touring in this beautiful city because it was a business trip. Honestly, it was really frustrating when you were in a long distance relationship and did not have the budget to travel in Europe, not to mention your man was not into anything about Europe.

Berlin is calling me! I checked the prices and found the ticket really affordable, it would be even better if I could crash at my friend's place.

I guess I need to make a plan and enjoy the time of being single before I get into another relationship.

Ciao!
