indie girl's diary - time to heal your broken heart

Enough of mourning and now it's about time to refresh myself.

I believe the best way to heal a broken heart is to make oneself look pretty, so, I decided to start from make-up.

Aside from keeping to your diet, you need to improve your make-up skills too. Watch a few make-up tutorials on YouTube, take notes and prepare the materials you need.

Do not abandon yourself! Being self-loathing will not make anything better, but only make yourself look pathetic! To show him what he's missing, you need to make yourself prettier and sexier,  this will help you build up your confidence.

If your financial condition is well enough, doing a little shopping for yourself is always pleasant and definitely help!

In the past three years, I had been trying to save any penny I earned, so that I could buy stuff for him and fly all the way from Taiwan to visit him in the United States. I always knew I could have an easy life if I wasn't in a long-distance relationship, so now, it's time to reward myself.

I had always wanted to have a ballerina charm necklace from Les Nereides. Ironically, the first thing I ever got from Les Nereides was a beautiful brooch for my ex's mother. No regret! I am just happy I could finally get something I wanted so badly for MYSELF from Les Nereides.

Something cute but considered a waste of money. Well, I think I need them and I can afford them!

And, it was nice to spoil yourself from a diet plan with some cute dessert.

No, I am not bitching about what I had suffered if you wondered. In fact, I am moving on and trying to have a better life that I deserved. It is not healthy to grieve over the breakup, because he doesn't care!

Hope you found them helpful.

Ciao!

indie's girl's diary - no contact no pain

He finally deleted me on Facebook.

I always knew this would happen sooner or later, but I believe in the long run this is the best for both of us. Maybe like everyone said it is a process, but damn it still hurts! I told myself as long as it could help me actually let go of him, I would get over it eventually, that way I wouldn't hold a little hope, wishing him to come back to me.

I made the worse mistake a woman could make after a bad breakup, I tried to be a good friend and talked to him like I usually did. However, as soon as I saw him make fun of me by showing our conversation to his friends, my kindness turned into hate. He did not show the whole conversation on his Facebook wall, but from the comments they made under his status, he did show them the conversation. Well I am glad they enjoyed it, because there will no more.

Surprisingly he noticed that I had deleted all the pictures of him(well it was not difficult to find yourself missing hundreds of pictures on Facebook), and sent me a message telling me how I made him look bad in front of my friends by downplaying the bad things I had done to him. Apparently, after all these he still did not realized why I was mean and mad at him more and more often in the 3rd year of the relationshop. Yes, it was awesome to have someone who likes same things as you do, but we all need to be mature adults when it is necessary.

Yes I was a bitch, and I could not ignore him being unmotivated when he did not even have a real job, I could not ignore him not eating healthy when he was suffering from body pains, and I could not stay in a long distance relationship forever and have fun without boredom and worries.

You guys need to listen to this!(finger points to men) When a woman is ready to spend the rest of her life with you, she would give up everything, hold your hand and overcome whatever you confront. So put your God damn ego aside and listen to her! And do not expect she will be smiling while listening to your old love story with some Thai woman. (no offense! this just happened in my case)

Enough venting for today.

Ciao!

indie girl's diary - 20 days after the breakup

20 days after the breakup, I decided to stop grieving and tried to move on to have a better life. Not sure when I will forget about the bad things and forgive the person that hurt, but I know I will eventually.

Life is hard enough, I don't need to waste my time on things and people that make me unhappy.

So, here's my to-do list.

  1. Trim my hair bangs
  2. Pink-highlight my hair
  3. Resume my diet plan
  4. Read at least one article on cnn.com everyday
  5. Get dip-pens
  6. Go to gigs
  7. Get some CDs ar White Wabbit Record
  8. Spend more time with family and friends
  9. Looking for a better job

These are all I can think of.

Ciao!
